As societies change, so too does our housing.  Do you ever wonder what our future homes and neighborhoods will look like?  Maybe you already have a few ideas that you want to share.  Come to our next interactive meeting to hear and discuss with an expert current trends that are shaping home building and development.  You will get a glimpse into Austin’s future and how our homes will reflect changes in society, technology and sustainability.

Harry Savio is the Executive Vice President of the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin.  Harry graduated from North Texas State University with a Masters of Public Administration. His first job was with the City of Austin in the Research & Budget Office where he later became the Budget Director. He left for the City of Harlingen to become Assistant City Manager and was later promoted to City Manager.

Harry made a career change in 1981 to become a partner in a building and development company that was dissolved in 1990. Looking for a way to combine his past experience in two separate career paths, Harry went to work for the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin as its Vice President for Government Affairs where he provided staff support to the building industry in Austin and the surrounding five county areas. In 1999, he was promoted to the position of Executive Vice President where he serves as the chief administrative officer.

Harry is an entertaining speaker and frequently presents at industry and civic events.  Come to hear more about the future of Austin's development and what homes of the future will look like.
