Successful Entrepreneurs, the Web of Opportunities that Produced Them, and What Webs Might Arise in the Future
We often learn about new start-ups, new brands and innovations in the form of personal success stories. We read about the visionary young entrepreneur who made it from his parents' garage to the corner office in Silicon Valley. We take his 5 bullet points of leadership advice on LinkedIn to heart and let ourselves inspire. And we can learn a lot from these narratives! But they rarely give us the full picture. Behind every successful entrepreneur are complex webs of emergent social systems and conditions that happened to be just right. Let's explore a possible systems map and see how recent innovations and start-ups are connected in a systemic, interdependent web of opportunities. And let's discuss how that web might look like and which opportunities might arise in the future! Interactivity and engagement is highly encouraged at this meeting.
